The Guardian App was inspired by the #MeToo movement, and is totally FREE.
Our company is focused in the Hotel Industry, and as the #MeToo movement began, we realized that Hotel Employees like Housekeepers, needed a smarter security than a dated technology like a panic button.
So we invented an NFC technology where the Housekeeper taps one of two NFC Discs. One placed outside the Room Door. When tapped, a timer in the server begins, giving the Housekeeper time to look in the closet, bathroom, etc. before taping a second NFC Disc on the other side of the room to stop the timer on the server.
If the second NFC Disc wasn't tapped in time, then security is instantly alerted to which employee, room, and more.
Our CMO, a strong and independent woman and one of our superstars, was the first to realize that this technology would be great for situations such as parking lots. Our founders mother even weighed in, saying this technology was truly that important to women.
We did some research and found that between 2004 - 2008, more than 400,000 violent assaults happened in parking lots or garages.
So we decided to create a Free version of our technology for every woman.
The scenario is pretty simple.
Tap an NFC Disc placed at your work Exit Door.
Based on your experience, you've set the timer for a time that you feel comfortably you will get to your car.
In your car you have a second NFC Disc, which is strategically placed, so its only known where to you.
If you are assaulted, then the timer will run out and the system will immediately contact your Guardian, whomever you have chosen.
The technology isn't designed to prevent crime.
The truth is that nothing can prevent crime in every circumstance.
This technology is meant to make sure that someone knows your in trouble.
Because every minute that no one knows you need help, is a minute to long.
So for the Mothers, Sisters, Friends, and Coworkers that we truly appreciate, we created The Guardian App.
A sort of insurance that someone knows something has happened.
